Ethane Blending Project

Project Purpose

Ethane liquid was injected into the methane vapor stream at a major fractionation unit. The original mixer design failed and caused excessively high vibration throughout the pipe. Due to the design failure, the requested rates (50k bbl/day) were not able to be achieved. Within 80 days, all engineering, fabrication, and construction was completed for the new design, and the new design started up with no issues.
