Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Designer to support complex electrical design projects across various onshore and offshore installations. The ideal candidate should bring 10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, particularly in oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors, and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in a multi-disciplinary project team, which is likely to include engineers from other specialism’s including mechanical, structural, civil and instrumentation, liaising with clients, procurement team, construction team, commissioning team etc to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
- Taking an active role in the design of electrical system to required specifications, focusing on cost, schedule, safety, reliability, and quality. Prepare and review material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and procurement documentation.
- Creating and interpreting philosophies, design specifications, data sheets, schematics and layout drawings for oil and gas onshore and offshore installations. Develop detailed electrical design deliverables including single line diagrams, layout drawings, cable schedules, earthing and lighting layouts, and equipment sizing.
- Designing systems and electrical equipment for example, HV and LV switchgear, transformers and UPS systems.
- Select and apply the relevant codes and standards applicable to the electrical systems design. Ensure compliance with the national and international codes and standards such as IEC, IS, IEEE, NEC etc
- Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical, and other industry-specific tools.
- Participate in site surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities at project locations across India and abroad.
- Be involved in projects from concept to detailed design through to construction, testing and handover.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors / Master degree in an Electrical Engineering subject with minimum of 10 years of experience working in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical / Energy industry
- Concept / FEED / EPC Electrical Engineering experience (Energy Transition Projects).
- Interpreting technical drawings and / or creating or checking schematics or other electrical drawings. Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, and relevant electrical design software.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle, engineering documentation, and construction support.
- Excellent knowledge of industry codes and safety standards.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at remote / onshore / offshore project sites as needed.
- Managing electrical interfaces between packages including GTGs and Switchgear.
- Vendor package management (electrical and mechanical packages).
Preferred Qualifications:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Piping Designer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in piping design for large-scale oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in design software, international codes, and field execution, and be open to frequent travel to project sites, both onshore and offshore, as required by oil & gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan/review 3D modeling using S3D for Mechanical, Safety, Soft Volumes, Escape and Transport Routes, Access and Material Handling Routes, equipment modeling, package modeling with required TP points, Piping, and Pipe supports.
- Effectively manage design changes and provide appropriate solutions as needed during project execution.
- Coordinate with other discipline design teams to achieve optimal use of the 3D modeling space and minimize last-minute changes to the design.
- Liaise closely with the pipe stress team to acquire inputs for finalizing the pipe routing and pipe support locations and types.
- Review vendor drawings for static equipment/rotating equipment/packages and ensure all nozzle orientations and vessel cleat support requirements are in line with design requirements.
- Perform/check weight management studies for piping and prepare/issue Piping Weight Control Reports.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and support detailed engineering deliverables
- Ensure compliance with international design codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.)
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases
- Assist the Lead Engineer with the Quality Plan for Layout/Piping Design, preparing plans & schedules, estimates, progress measurements, weight control reports, and contribute to technical presentations and write-ups.
Requirements:

- 10+ years of relevant experience in piping design in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors
- Hands-on exposure to the S3D suite of applications, including MDS. Expertise in 2D and 3D piping design software (AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, E3D, etc.)
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, equipment layout, and pipe routing, Exposure to piping layout design and weight concepts.
- Familiarity with offshore facilities – Platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, safety requirements. Conduct 3D model reviews and weight management as per the project requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and coordinate well with the piping materials and stress teams, as well as other disciplines.
- Able to lead and guide a team of Piping/MDS Designers on assigned areas/sub-areas.
- Experience as a Piping Weight Management Specialist and in issuing Piping Weight Control reports.
- Familiarity with Indian and international codes (IS, ASME, ANSI, etc.)

- Participate in government and contractor sponsored System Engineering and technical exchange meetings (TEMs), Independent Review Teams, and design and program management reviews
- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, and process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or PRO/II.
- Conduct feasibility studies, process optimization, and debottlenecking assessments.
- Perform process calculations (e.g., pressure drop, hydraulic calculations, relief valve sizing).
